Brief Answer:
Need some further details regarding..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Yes snoring can be really bothersome if persisting for longer duration..

First of all, before taking any management, the cause for snoring is needed to be evaluated as management varies accordingly..

To evaluate further, i need you to answer a few questions as i'm listing below, just go through them, take your time and answer them so that I can guide you better:

Since when are you experiencing this ? Who was the first person to detect this(was it you yourself or someone else) ?

Please let me know your body weight and height, so that I can calculate the standard parameters for you to check if there's any overweight/obesity involved in this or not(as being overweight can also provoke snoring)..

Do you have any problem while breathing through your nose ? is there any any nose blockade/ Deviated nasal septum(another cause for snoring), have you ever got yourself checked for this ?

How do you sleep at night ? is it sound sleep or disturbed ? and how do you feel after getting up from bed in the morning(do you feel refreshed or still tired and sleepy) ?

Can you please describe your sleeping posture, is it lateral or face upwards/downwards(another cause for snoring) ?

Any other medical history apart from diabetes ? any problems related to blood pressure, when was it last checked ?

Please let me know about them so that I can guide you more specifically..

Meanwhile, keep your head end elevated than the usual while sleeping(using an extra pillow will help), try to sleep only in lateral position as sleeping with face upwards or downwards only provokes further snoring.. please let the other persons(parents/friends/spouse) living with you know about this condition and tell them to keep an eye on the sleeping posture and face position at which snoring begins, as it'll give a clear indication which is the aggravating factor..at the same time inform them to notify you what is the factor which relieves it at the same time also..

Take Care
Kind Regards
