Brief Answer:
more tests needed
Detailed Answer:
I suppose you have tried many medications for gas, including
simethicone (Gas x). Most of the time, gas is diet related, and it could be due to
lactose intolerance, gluten intolerance, or other food intolerances.
Low thyroid function can cause this symptoms, also as mentioned gluten intolerance (
celiac disease). Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is also a consideration. For all these entities you will need further testing (blood tests, breath testing and
endoscopy) usually done by a gastroenterologist.
For now i would suggest to try eliminating certain food that can cause gas such as:
- fruits: such as XXXXXXX pear, watermelon, cherry, avocado, prunes
- dairy products
- artificial sweeteners
- cereals
- vegetables: such as artichoke, asparagus, broccoli, onion
- baked beans, lentils, kidney beans
Also taking probiotics over the counter might help
Hope that helps. let me know if you have any further questions or concerns
