Brief Answer:
Thyroid

Detailed Answer:
I am sorry to learn about your medical symptoms of sweating and feeling hot.

One of the common causes for this is an over active thyroid condition called hyperthyroidism.

There is a simple blood test to screen for this possibility called TSH. Fasting is not necessary for this test and it can be done at any time of the day.

There are few other conditions that can result in excessive sweating such as Acromegaly. However it is rare.

When I see someone like you in my practice, I order the following tests in addition to a thorough physical examination:

CBC
CMP
TSH
Free T4
HbA1c
