What Causes Excessive Sweating In Infants?
Question: MY baby is 3 month old. Whenever have the mother feed or via bottle feed, he used to sweat a lot on his head. I am not sure whether it is due to some problem or not
Brief Answer:
I do not think that there is any problem.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The glands that secrete saliva and the glands ove the face that secrete sweat, are supplied by the same nerve. So, often when the child feeds and there is requirement of salivation, the nerve becomes active and so the sweating over face and forehead increases. It is normal and nothing needs to be done about it.
Hope that helps.
