Brief Answer:
Recommendations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Swelling in the feet or lower legs (peripheral edema) can be caused by a number of reasons. I see that you took a second water pill. What diagnosis do you have for having been prescribed water pills previously?

The most common reason for feet and ankle swelling is vascular insufficiency - where the veins don't return the fluid well. Prolonged standing and hot weather can make this worse. Treatment is compression stockings and leg elevation.

Peripheral edema can be caused by congestive heart problems too. In this case, other heart medicines are needed, along with adequate rest and not overexerting the heart.

Liver problems and kidney problems can cause water retention too.

If this problem has suddenly gotten worse and is accompanied by fatigue or shortness of breath, you should go in to be seen promptly (tonight).

If however, you have a history of feet swelling and no heart, liver, or kidney problems, then elevation and compression stockings (and keeping cool) should help.

I am concerned, though, what you were already on a water pill for.
