Brief Answer:
Your levothyroxine dosage should be increased! When was it last increased?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed your information fully and this weight gain is probably caused by insufficient treatment of your thyroid disease. You will certainly need to have this dosage increased. Because it was just recently increased, we will need to control new values in about 4weeks. This is what will make the major difference in terms of weight gain issues. With a TSH of 6.230, there s no way you can escape weight gain and fatigue issues.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Brief Answer:
Yes, 25% increased and monitoring!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is always difficult to pinpoint how much increased is ideal. The principle is to go step wise until we find the exact dose that is able to address symptoms and get TSH in the target range. I will suggest we control the TSH at this time and go with a 25% increase.

I hope this helps. Let me know if there is more you want us to talk on.
