What Causes Extreme Fatigue And Weakness In A Person With Colon Infection?

Question: I am feeling extreme fatigue and weakness and was just in ER thursday with what they thought was bowel obstruction. CT scan revealed colon infection, swollen kidney and enlarged liver. I am wondering which of these conditions is causing my extreme fatigue. I feel like I can barely get off couch and could sleep all the time.

Hi
Colon infection will cause fatigue. Enlarged liver can be an incidental finding.Hope your Liver function tests are normal.
What did your doctor say regarding Kidney enlargement?
If possible, please attach the CT SCAN ABDOMEN report.
Apart from Antibiotic, you should also take Pre and Probiotic capsule for maintenance of Colonic flora.
You should also get Complete Blood Picture ( CBP ) to rule out anaemia which also causes extreme fatigue.
