Question: Hi i am having extreme pain under my diaphragm... It comes on without warning and can last up to 8 hours. i was also having extreme shortness of breath (hurt to breath pretty much at all) The pain is VERY severe and radiates around to my lower back, i don't know if i can take it anymore. I've been to the hospital 4 times for it, every time they do a scan. The one were they inject you and you feel warm and they make you hold your break to get the pictures. they say they don't see anything. By the time i get into the scan machine the pain has mostly gone away. they have given me Carafate the liquid stuff (made me vomit for some reason last time. and they gave me cimetidine 200mg tablets (take 4 before bed) none of these seem to help in the least. The only way to SOMETIMES get relief is to lay on my back at an angle and take some of the pressure off. I also notice stomach bloating when it occurs. the more it hurts the more it swells. PLEASE HELP ME!!
