Brief Answer:
False positive

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you have had some blood work that was significant for ANA and a positive anti-DNA at 16. This could be a false positive test meaning that the titer is fairly low so it may not be a true positive test. The real concern is not that the test was positive but if you have any arthritis symptoms? If you have joint swelling redness stiffness and pain then this could mean you have an autoimmune disorder like Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus. If you do have symptoms along with the positive test then you should see a Rheumatologist to verify the diagnosis.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely Rheumatoid

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for returning to HCM with more information.

The pain from exercise is not usually associated with forms of rheumatoid arthritis. The arthritic type pain is usually on the hands and knuckles and also the feet. Since your pain is after exercise and the elbow and knees this is from the exercise it's self.

So in summary you may have a false positive ANA.

I hope I answered your question.
