Brief Answer:
Need clarification.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.

I have read your concern and understood that you have undergone test to detect benzodiazepine in your system, they found both xanax and valium while you did not take valium. Is that so? I am confused about your question? Which body fluid have they used for testing? [like urine, blood, saliva, hair?]

Screening test for benzodiazepines in urine is usually performed by Enzyme Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT) while confirmatory test is performed by Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS/MS).

Do you want to ask, How a test can be false positive for another kind of benzodiazepine?

Give answers to the above questions, it will make easier for me to understand your question.

I am waiting for your reply. Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
Screening test can be positive for both

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again. I have read your query and understood your concerns.

Urine drug testing usually consists of two steps testing:
1. Screening test by Enzyme Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT)
2. Confirmatory test by Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS/MS)

Screening test can give false positive even between different benzodiazepines. For confirmation of the type of benzodiazepine (its amount and level in urine), they usually go for confirmatory test.

If you have been undergone only screening test then you should go for confirmatory test also. Both types of tests should be done.

Costs for both types of drugs screen can range from 20$ to 250$ in your states. The online available kits for testing came with price range of 50$ to 300$. So by this price range it is expensive.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have further query then close the discussion and rate the answer.

Wish you good health.
