Question: I was diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia and hypertension 2 years ago after having my 3rd child during an ER visit. Now two years later, my heart feels like it is constantly beating very fast, Ive recorded my pulse at 100 bpm resting. I am just wondering what can cause this and if its something I should be concerned with.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry but you need to get tested.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Thanks for posting your query.

There are many causes of feeling of heart beating fast ( called as Palpitation ). Sometimes it could occurs under normal conditions without any problem in the body . For example :

1. Physical Exertion.
2. Anxiety/ Fear.
3. Pain ( anywhere in the body )

Other diseases which can cause palpitation are :

1. Diseases of heart.
2. Low Blood pressure .
3. Thyroid or Adrenal Problems.
4. Liver problems .

If there is no anxiety or fear factor in you that could explain palpitation then you need to get evaluated for the other conditions. In that regard I advise you to get your Blood pressure checked and let me know the value.

Also get a ECG done and revert back with the ECG.

In case Blood pressure and ECG turns out normal then you may have to get the following tests done :

Serum TSH, T3,T4, Serum Cortisol ( Morning and evening sample) and Liver function test.

Kindly revert back with reports.

Regards.
