What Causes Fatigue And Frequent Heart Palpitations When Diagnosed With Low Thyroid Levels?
I am a 48 year old female in good health but experiencing fatigue and diagnosed with low thyroid (T3) and IGF-1. I had a sudden onset of frequent heart palpitations, about 50 or more per day. They have calmed down to about 20-30 per day. The cardiologist said he heard a third heart sound and that my EKG was not normal. So he had me wear a monitor for 3 days. I felt many palpitations and pushed the event recorder. When I saw the doctor for my follow up, he seemed to not know who I was or remember anything about my case. He said my monitor reports were fine. But I have looked at the EKG strips and they do NOT look fine to me! Please help! Can someone look at these strips and tell me if they are fine (just interference and "artifacts").

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and would like to assist you with my advises.
After reviewing your cardiac monitor data, I would like to say that there are a lot of artifacts. However, there are two ventricular premature beats or Premature Ventricular Complex (PVC s) which explain heart palpitations.
Please keep in mind that it's normal to have 20-50 episodes of PVC s per day especially if you have hormonal (endocrine) disorders. Please keep in mind that PVC s aren't harmful and apart from palpitations and anxiety they can't cause any harm to you.
Moreover, treating hormonal disorders will help to further reduce PVC s. For the moment as long as the number of PVC s is limited to less than 50 in 24 hours you don't need to take any medication.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
