What Causes Fatigue And Numbness In Hand While On Librax And Metrogyl?
Question: Hi ,
I am 26 years old male. I was diagnosed with Thyroid 6 months back. The results then are (t3: 1.2, t4: 7.2 and TSH: 14.1) dated 15:6:2015. From then i started using Thyronorm 25 mcg once a day. I again had test results after 3 months and the results are (t3: 1.1, t4: 7.6 , tsh :3.2) dated: 17-10-2015. i am still continuing with the same medicine.
From almost a month I get loose stool within 1 or 2 hours of eating something. I also have problem with my body temperature. I am intolerable to heat. Some time I feel some discomfort with my heart beat. I used to weigh 61 kgs last month and now I was 56. My BP is 110/70. Doctor prescribed me Librax, Metrogyl and Yogut tablets. I m using them from 3 days but had no change with my stool. Also my stomach makes bowel sounds that are clearly audible after taking food. All gets set once I go to washroom.
I feel very weak and cannot even do my regular work out. I used to have numbness in my hands and some shaking in my fingers earlier, but now its normal. But still I cannot hold my smile for long time My right chin shivers when i smile. For this my doctor prescribed Vitamin D tablets. Situation was bit better but not satisfactory.

Regarding your loose motions and abnormal sounds in stomach indicates you are either having Indigestion problem or infection of stomach. A simple test called Stoo routine will differentiate this . Hence kindly get this test done and revert back with report.
Now coming to your heat intolerance , discomfort with heart beats and weight loss , this indicates that your Thyronorm dosage is high for you. I would recommnend you to reduce the dose to 12.5 mcg and repeat TSH after 2 months.

Your stool report shows that there is infection. I would recommend you to get started on different antibiotic like Oflox+ ornidazole for 5 days . Kindly get a prescription for this and use it .

When should I use this medicine. Is it after the meal and how how many times a day should I use it. Can I continue this medicine after five days if I Still have the problem.

As you prescribed I used the medicines and now my loose motions are controlled. But I still have the bowel sounds to some extent. I also reduced my Thyronorm dosage to 12.5. From then I didn’t find any problem with my heart beat and my problem with the heat intolerance is far better than earlier.
I want to put across a problem which I am experiencing from almost 6 months. I raised this issue in my first query, but here is the detailed notes.
1) I cannot hold my smile for a long time. When I smile my right cheek starts shivering.
2) My right hand point finger also shivers and I feel little discomfort when trying to do small tasks. Eg its very normal to lift a dumbbell, but I find discomfort when taking a tablet from thyronorm bottle.
3) When I sleep straight and if I lift my head up or lift my legs up, my stomach muscles starts shaking uncontrollably. I never had this problem earlier and I do some workout regularly.

If these tests are normal you need to go for Nerve conduction study of all 4 limbs , MRI Cervical spine .
Kindly revert back with reports. I would also recommend you to get a personal examination by a Neurologist.
For your weight gain I won't recommend any medications . Just take high calorie diet like sweets, Ice creams , Cheese , Dry fruits , meat. Do daily exercise ( any exercise will do but better is lifting weights )
