What Causes Fatigue, Nausea, Vomiting , Diarrhea, Headache And Sharp Stomach Pain?
viral gastroenteritis is likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the symptoms you've described are consistent with the diagnosis of a viral gastroenteritis although diagnosing anything from afar is too risky to consider. In most cases the patient starts with nausea, upper abdominal pain and vomiting and then diarrhea appears. Diarrhea may last for a few days (usually less than a week). Vomiting usually improves after the first 2-3 days. The stool is watery.
Worrisome signs or symptoms include abdominal distention, failure to improve, other signs of worsening (like low blood pressure, fainting, etc).
Since the symptoms have lasted for more than 7 days I would recommend testing (basic biochemical panel, inflammatory markers and perhaps an abdominal X-ray).
Regarding treatment you can try domperidone or metoclopramide for nausea unless you've got abdominal distention. In that case a visit to the ER might be more appropriate.
Kind regards!
