Brief Answer:
Better to be tested

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
The normal body temperature is 98.6 degree with a normal variation of 1degree. So temperature of 96.1 to 96.5 is not considered normal. This along with the feeling of cold is suggestive of Hypothyroidism which can be tested through blood examination.
Sleep disturbance and emotional issues are also a feature of hypothyroidism.
So it's is good to be screened for the same.
Exercise, relaxation techniques like yoga, wholesome food and warm fluids like soups are helpful in promoting sleep.
