Brief Answer:
Stress induced fever
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
thanks for sending your query to us.
In the absence any infection in the eye the fever is usually stress induced. The surgery if done under local anesthesia, the patient is feeling everything going on around him and to a susceptible person this is a time of a lot of stress,at times also manifesting with stress induced hyper acidity. It usually does not last for more than 2 days.Be watchful for a co incidental viral fever.Tablet paracetamol 500 mg. can be given 2to3 times a day if necessary.
Wait for a day or two and he will be fine.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
