What Causes Fever And Irritation In The Throat?

Question: hello
my wife XXXXXXX (aged 30) has been having fever (around 101) since last night. she has been having a bit of irritation in her throat since last 2 days. last night she had a fever of 100 with slight shiver. she took a couple of Crocin. was fine in the morning. post breakfast she vomited and felt sick again. right now she has a 101 fever.
she has issues with throat infections in the past

Hi,
Thank you for query.

Mostly your wife is suffering from upper respiratory tract infection.
You can continue Tab paracetamol thrice daily.
Salt water gargle twice daily.
Avoid citrus fruits and juices,Plenty of fluid intake is mandatory.
I generally prefer Tab Roxid twice daily for 5 days for my patients.
Get a prescription of above drug from a local doctor.
If fever persists more than 2 days get a dengue profile and CBC done.
