Question: My wife and I had a threesome with another female Tuesday night. My wife and the other female performed cunnilingus, scissored and fingered each other. I had sex with my wife and the other girl with a condom (different one for each girl). The condom broke with the other girl but I pulled out immediately. Fast forward to Friday morning approximately 48-72 hours later my wife woke up with a fever, sore throat, chills. My wife went to a walk in clinic and they told her that her throat was very red and that it is bacteria and not a virus. She was prescribed treva clindamycin 300mg. I have zero symptoms but I am concerned that my wife and I caught something. Looking for advice
Could this be oral gonorreah?

Brief Answer:
Clindamycin should be effective in such a case

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The first thing I would insist is not to panic. The sore throat could be caused either a virus or a bacteria and I am not sure how they told these two apart. In any case, clindamycin is likely to be effective and I would not really worry if the symptoms gradually come down in 3-5 days. Additionally, gurgling with lukewarm water should be helpful.

Although gonorrhea is a possibility, there are other vaginal bacteria commonly present and they could equally be responsible. Your wife was at a greater risk due to direct contact during cunnilingus. It is hard to speculate the exact organism involved.

Since you had the condom on, and since you pulled out immediately upon its breakage, it is unlikely that you got affected due with the secretions from the other female. But still getting an opinion would be a better idea. You can feel free to discuss with your doctor.
