What Causes Fever, Chills, Sore Glands In Neck, Earache And Nausea?

Question: Since Saturday I have had fever - 101.6 - chills, sore glands in neck on either side of my throat and earache and nausea. I also feel so awful I have not felt like getting out of the house to go to the doctor. Am better today - fever low grade, earache better. What was wrong with me?
