What Causes Fever, Cough, Vomiting And Weakness?

Question: Sir, My daughter (1 yr 2 months old) is having fever, cough & cold last 3 days. Consulted a pediatrician and he prescribed CROCIN drops 4 times a day along with cough syrup. But, she still has fever and look very weak. Opens only 3/4 of her eyes (looks like drowsy). Vomiting food 5 mins after she eats anything. Also she asks for water in an abnormal way. She asks more & more water to drink. Few times, because of over water she vomited food with a heavy force like water is coming from a tap. Whenever she vomit the food, we can find cold (white color) in that. She normally does not take food on her own. So, we force her to take food. Currently to take medicines, we force again to eat something to have some strength. But sometimes this forcing itself causing vomiting. We are completely blank what to do now. She is sleeping a lot in last 3 days & She is very very weak now. Could you suggest me some alternatives for this health issue ?
Brief Answer:
if symptoms persist, hospitalization is required
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your daughter is probably suffering from respiratory tract infection. She needs proper examination. Give her antiemetic medicine like domperidone or ondansetron after consulting your doctor. This will stop her vomiting and then she will retain food and water.
She might need antibiotic which you can start after consulting your doctor. Mostly children respond within 2 days with such management. But if fever ,vomiting continues or she looks toxic, then she will need hospitalization.
Hope I answered your query
