Brief Answer:
Looks like a viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

Your symptoms and the increased body temperature suggests me of viral infections of the nose and throat.

But dry cough may be caused due to a number of reasons, some of the common ones being a sore throat.

If I would have been your treating doctor I would have advised

1.Steam inhalation with Vapocaps which will moistens the airways and helps relieve a sore and irritated throat.
2.Lozenges to soothe the throat.
3.Cough syrups like Syp Ambrodil S, Thrice a day for atleast 5 days
4.Tab Dolo 650, Twice daily.

If your symptoms are not improving with these medications you need to visit your doctor for examination of chest regarding listen to your chest sounds to check for any congestion and check your throat for any infection or inflammation.

In some cases you may need to undergo a chest X-ray in order for the doctor to make sure that there is no other underlying reason for the cough.

Thank you.
