What Causes Fever In A Child?

Question: Hi,
My daughter (7yr old) is having fever for last 6 days. Doctor advised us to take a blood test few days back. We could not consult a doctor due to doctor's strike in XXXXXXX Could you please check the report and let us know if we need to change course of treatment.
Symptoms : Fever for 6 days (~100 F) for last 3 days. ~102F for first 3 days.
Runny nose and cough started 2 days back.
She had vomiting and loose stool for first few days.

Thanks for asking on this platform

I have gone through the query and reports.
The reports are within acceptable limit.
You may find some high and low values in complete blood count report but that is not significant and you need not to worry about that.
The typhoid report and Dengue test results are also normal.
The clinical picture seems to be due to some viral infection.
In viral infection fever may be of high grade for initial 3-4 days and then it starts declining. Also involvement of cough/cold along with loose stool also goes in favor of some viral infection.
Only symptomatic treatment helps in complete recovery in lost of the cases.
I won't get overly worried as now the symptoms have improved and all the reports are normal.
