What Causes Fever, Productive Cough, Breathlessness And Low Energy After A Tick Bite?
Question: I was bitten by a tick, I removed it. Now I have been having low grade fever, body aches, productive cough, shortness of breath and no energy. Please let me know if I should go on to a walk in clinic.
Brief Answer:
upload and image of the site for review!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will like to review an image of the site. If this is swollen and red, then fever and malaise might be possible. If not, I will like that you go in for evaluation. Lyme disease which often cause these symptoms is not prevalent in Oklahoma.
However, your symptoms are suggestive f an upper respiratory tract infection. This might just be a coincidence than the symptoms being caused by the tick bite.
Continue with tylenol and I will not recommend any doctor’s visit at this time. Update me in 48hours and we will continue from there depending on your response and evolution.
I hope this guides and helps. Keep me posted and updated.
