What Causes Fever, Rashes On The Arms, Decreased Appetite, Nausea And Diarrhea?

Question: My wife has some interesting symptoms. Were both nurses. We just returned from the Caribbean August 11th. Her symptoms are fever 99.7 to 101.7 rash both arms, we thought it was an allergic reaction to bacitracin used for a severe case of UTI which has now subsided but even after a week of discontinued use she still has the rash, discribed as blotchy with slight itch. She also has a decreased appetite with nausea and diarrhea.
Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to a viral cause
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I have checked the attached image. The rash could be an allergic association of a viral infection (which was possibly cause of the rise in temperature). I do not find the rashes to be concerning. Taking some antiallergic like cetirizine or benadryl (or possibly better ones like fexofenadine or loratidine which are prescription medicines) should help. You could also apply some emollient like calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion.
It might take a few days to recover and so you need to be patient.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards
