What Causes Fever, Running Nose And Sore Tongue Post Unprotected Intercourse?

Chances are low but need confirmation
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description there is chance of infection but it can not be determined that whether it is due to your recent sexual encounter or due to some other routine infection. This is possible as simple cold can present with running nose and sores in throat. On the other hand HIV infection can present in almost similar fashion but it generally takes more than two weeks or approximately 4-6 weeks. So we can say that duration criteria are not supporting sexually transmitted disease. Additionally HIV present with slight fever and enlargement of glands which is uncommon with simple cold.
I hope this eases some stress on you as the chances are low of infection.
I request you to get HIV elisa from nearby laboratory as soon as possible and repeat it after three months.
After the test results revert back to me with additional complaints, if any.
I will be glad to assist you.
Thanks and regards
