What Causes Fever, Vomiting, Weakness And Swollen Face While Suffering From Tuberculosis?

Question: I am suffering from tb. I was admitted for 10 days in Apollo XXXXXXX Fever, vomiting, weakness and swelling of my face is common. Generally fever stays with 104 degree and when we give paracetamol fever releases for 30 min . Vomitting is coming frequently. What can I do?

I have gone carefully through your query. If the diagnosis of tuberculosis has been confirmed I would strongly insist you to visit any of the nearby Chest Clinics or health units under your Municipal Corporation. They are under RNTCP (revised national tuberculosis control program) and would be able to administer the best treatment in this regard.

Take paracetamol to bring down the temperature when needed. Also use tepid sponging. Take some antiemetic like ondansetron when needed. However, vomiting may still occur. In such cases you might need to take ORS (oral rehydration solution).

Do not ignore it.

sir the fever is not releasing .fever comes with 104 degree . we have shown to Dr. amitava paharia Apollo XXXXXXX . patient can't talk and walk due to weakness . sir now we are not satisfied with the treatment so we are going to Apollo XXXXXXX . sir can you suggest doctors and hospitals where the patient can be cured? sir we are giving ondem for vomiting but vomiting is happening. sir Dr. amitava paharia Apollo XXXXXXX suggest to give ondem 8 mg but vomiting is happening . what can I do?

I understand that the patient is having high fever but I need the details of the work-up already done. The first thing would be the report for complete blood count. Please upload it. Nextly, I would need the report for chest X ray, sputum for AFB or TB Gold Quantiferon whichever has been done for confirmation of TB. Based on those inputs I could suggest the right treatment or where that could be arranged for.

Kindly mention how the problems started and progressed. This is important.
