What Causes Fire Like Sensation In The Body While On Vibramycin?
Question: Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...hello my wife has been taking 100mg vibramycin for a week now and she was exposed to th sunlight all day today. She says her body feels like it’s on fire now. On the prescription bottle it says avoid prolong heat. She has stopped taking the medicine and was wondering if there’s anything to do to help the burning sensation go away. Thank you
Brief Answer:
Just let it run it course out!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is nothing to do at this time. She should drink much water and avoid further sun exposure until symptoms are resolved. This has no long term consequences beyond the acute burning sensation that she has reported. In fact, it is a well known side effect and there is no need getting too alarmed about it.
I hope this help and guides. I wish your wife. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
