Question: I have a 6 year old granddaughter that is acting out terribly. She won't go anywhere, it is a fight to get her to put on clothes they have to be just right. She throws everything in the house hits, bites, kicks, screams. She has went to a specialist for Pandas has taken 2 weeks of antibiotics a 5 day dose of steroids. She goes to a therapist. Her mother and father have been trying to get her in to several childrens hospitals in XXXXXXX that all have a long waiting list. She has to have her mom with her all the time, she can't go to school without having a meltdown. We are at a loss of what to do for her. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Your granddaughter needs to be taken ot a child psychologist who could evaluate her for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and certain other behavioral problems. Based on the findings he/she would be able to design proper therapies that would help in resolution of the problem. Cognitive behavioral therapy or behavior modification therapy should help. The people at home and school might also need to modify their behavior suitably.
