Posted on Thu, 11 Dec 2014
Question: I'm having issues with a floater in my eye
Plus sensitivity to light even sometimes looking at neon signs
When I read a page on your phone with black background and white letters I see lines after I been reading, almost like window blind effect

Sometimes it's hard to read certain things on my phone depending on color and lighting they are in. Almost like the words become 3d maybe

Brief Answer:
It requires evaluation by ophthalmologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having floaters and sensitivity to light on seeing bright letters...
These symptoms require evaluation to rule out problems in the posterior segment like vitreous degenerations, intermediate uveitis....

If you are having refractive error in the form of myopia then it is probably vitreous degenerations and no need to worry.
But still I advice you to go for eye examination by ophthalmologist by indirect oohthalmoscopy to look for the posterior segment of the eye to examine vitreous and retina.
Retinal thinning, vitreous degenerations, intermediate uveitis....need to be ruled out.

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination.
Do write back to me with examination results.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
With regards
