What Causes Floaters Or Black Spots In The Filed Of Vision?

Question: Suddenly, I have a moving well formed object in my right eye. It is not visible in a mirror or by another person looking at my eye. It has distinct black outline, but is translucent within. It moves randomly. It's shape is somewhat like a curled grub. I have no pain & it takes up only a small piece of my field of vision.
Brief Answer:
Possibly floaters
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible floater.
This is normal and nothing to worry about.
However, since it has started suddenly, I would suggest testing your eyes with an ophthalmology specialist to make sure there is no serious intravitreal pathology.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
