What Causes Fluctuations In BP Readings?

Question: I am using a wrist version and notice that my blood pressure readings can vary by 10-20 points within about 10 minutes-is that possible? My average reading is in the 135/83 range.

Yes, it is possible

Detailed Answer:
yes, this is possible. There are two possible explanation - generally when we take blood pressure for first time it's higher and which settles down with repeat checking. second is for same blood pressure oscilloscope method used in most self monitoring BP app can give about 10 mmHg variability which is acceptable. as you have normal average BP you can just ignore these variability. also if you switch from wrist instruments to arm, it will show less variability
