Blood pressure - a variable component
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Mr.XXXX! Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I am Dr. Meriton. I understand your concern.
There is a great probability that this is only a normal fluctuation of the blood pressure. You see, blood prsssure is a very varianle component during one day, due to various physiological, hormonal and psychological components in our organism. I would take also your doctor's side and say that this is a one-time-a-day happening. I recommend you to measure your blood pressure at least 15 minutes after being on resting position, and up to 1 hour after you have had caffeine-containing beverages. Also, if this finding is worrisome to you, I would suggest you to be put on a 24-hour blood pressure monitor registration, which is the most precise on depicting blood pressure figures spun throughout one day. My suspicion that you have high blood pressure is very low, but this diagnostic means is recommended to you just to exclude the diagnosis, with highest probability. The 60 minutes a day of physical activity is a very healthy behaviour. I encourage you to also try brisk walking, swimming, gym.
I hope I was helpful with my answer. If you have follow-up questions, I would be happy to help. Take care.
Best regards,
Dr. Meriton

I was hoping this was correct though I was a bit nervous with the wrist held type meter which was giving me false reading like 10-15 above a DR's test over the last few years. So I decided to get a formal test.
I went to see a cardiologist two years ago who preformed a Echo Cardio (running on a tread mill) He told me it seems fine that I am just a bit nervous, (like my late mother who Passed at 92.) Father also 92.
Just to put me at ease, by having a 118/73 20 minutes after I'm up at 6am then it rises all through the day where I take it again say at 5pm where its 144/90 there abouts then even 149/99 I may be having both a higher that valid wrist number though the good news is every morning its normal or just below, is this correct?
Just my wondering which I think you answered which was good news is normal in the morning, afternoon/evening is normal as well, Correct? Thank you so much!
Welcome back!

Hello again, Mr. XXXXX!
Yes, that is correct. I can see that your parents passed away probably from normal aging, which means that you do not have a parental genetic factor for cardiovascular disorder. Live a long and healthy life. Wish you a good health. I am glad I was of help.

My last question would be the best way to take my readings from home,
After I wake, I stretch a little (3 min,) then I relax sit in a chair for a few minutes and take 4 readings over 5 min.
The range is usually 115/73 to 128/85 though the longer I wait its usually dropping and ending just below 120/80 on the last try.
Some folks have said their Dr says lying down on the bed in the morning once a day only. When I do this its lower no matter what time of day I do it that way.
Do you have some guidelines for me to follow pls?
Thank you again!
Normal blood pressure
Detailed Answer:
Hello again! Welcome back!
It is established from basically every doctor's personal observation and a body of studies, also from the physiological knowledge, as I have mentioned on my first answer, that blood pressure tends to fluctuate under certain circumstances, in one day. The figures you provided are indicative of a perfectly normal blood pressure. The guidelines you asked about, are easily available online and you can find them from different cardiologists' association and societies. I recommend you to find and read them just for knowledge expansion.
I hope this answers your question. If you do not have any clarifications, I kindly ask to close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you a good health and best regards,
Dr. Meriton
