What Causes Fluid Build Up In The Chest?
Question: I am experiencing a lot of luid build up in my chest causing me not to be able to breathe very wel. I am in a lot of discomfort. Now that I am seated and not lying down, the fluid build up doesn't seem as extreme. When I cough I can hear a lot of fluid.
Brief Answer:
keep monitoring your symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM
I can understand your concern
As you explain the history if you were my patient i would recommend you to see your doctor earlier or if the breathlessness gets worse than you should keep medical observation.
The fluid in the airways usually is a sign of lung decompensation mostly due to cardiac problems which needs an cardiac ultrasound, a chest x ray and than probably diuretics to relieve lungs from the fluid.
Please consult again with your doctor and explain your actual clinical situation.
Regards and feel free to ask me again
