What Causes Fluttering Feeling In The Chest?
Question: Thank you. I've been experiencing a strange sensation for about 4 days. It seems to be a flutter in my heart then a tingling down into my hands. It's not constant but has happened several times a day for the past 5 days. I have a constant ringing in my ears (this is not new) but i've noticed it quite a bit with these "episodes". No trouble breathing. No excessive caffeine. I have had extreme stress but I'm not sure if that is the factor. I saw my doctor last week but he chalked it up to anxiety. It doesn't feel like anxiety but Im not sure.
Brief Answer:
A holter monitoring is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your complaints may be caused either by arrhythmia or by anxiety.
I would advise you to undergo 24 hour ECG holter monitoring, so your doctor may see what's going on when you have a complaint, only by this examination we can be a 100% sure if it is arrhythmia or just anxiety.
Take care
