What Causes Folliculitis On The Legs?

Question: Hi, ive got a cluster of 6 spots at the top of my leg. No explanation why. I thought it mightve been because is started doing cycling wearing lycra shorts but no sign of any let up. Any idea what they are?

I initially noticed them as i leaned against something and there was a dull pain (like when you press a blind spot or bruise) but now no pain, no itching. Tried squeezing (as you can see from one of them) but nothing happened. Not got any elsewhere, they are about 6 inches below my hip on the outside of my leg,

They just seem like a bacterial folliculitis. I suggest you to apply a topical antibiotic e.g 2% mupirocin cream Or neosporin ointment, twice daily.
