What Causes Foot Pain While Having Diabetes?
Should I see my DR. ASAP?
SEEMS TO BE EARLY CELLULITIS
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting the query.
If you are a known diabetic ,then these symptoms are suggestive of early cellulitis. It is definitely not tendinitis because in tendinitis the area is not warm to touch.
If the affected area is pink ,painful and warm to touch, then it indicates an underlying infection.
I suggest you to get your blood sugar levels checked, both fasting and post-prandial.
Consult your doctor to assess the extent of infection and start on anti-inflammatory and antibiotic tablets.
Apply ice to reduce the inflammation.
Do not apply anything warm.
Keep the leg elevated as far as possible.
Let me know the blood sugar levels once you get it checked.
I hope the answer was useful.
Feel free to ask me any further doubts that you may have.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
