Question: My husband has incondience, and has brown stains inside the cheeks of his butt. I have used, all kinds of antifungal creams, a&d oitment, soap & water, no soap to clean the area. tried real good before applying the creams. Took all fruit away. to no avail. Could this be yeast infection.?
Doctor tells me to use butt cream. What can I get over the counter. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
may be the side effect of the flomax.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As you describe, your husband aged 75 years have incondience(probably incontinence of the stools)and the brown stains inside the butt cheeks. Incontinence may be due to the dulcolax you are using for the free bowel movement.

Flomax has the side effect of the rash, stains and the peeling of skin. Perhaps the stool incontinence / flomax is the cause of staining. It would be worthwhile to stop / reduce dulcolax and visit a dermatologist to rule out other causes of staining including mixed aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infection. At this point, it doesn't seem to be yeast infection. Specific treatment will be initiated after dermatologist examination.

Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
