What Causes Forgetfulness And Loss Of Memory In A Child While On Vinlep?

Question: My 8 years old daughter is put on vinlep 300 mg twice a day. We are noticing the the reduction in memory. Her forgetfulness is increased and there a change in colour of teeth from white to mildly yellow. Are these are the side effects of vinlep. And she is not on any other medication. Diagnosis.. Idiopathic partial seizures. On medication for almost 2 years.

Though research studies have indicated that Vinlep can cause mild cognitive effects but it is not a common clinical side effect with the drug.
Nor,is this medicine known to cause dental effects.

I suggest you to get your daughter examined by a Neurologist for cognitive effects and dentist for teeth problems.
