Brief Answer:
There is need for evaluation of cognitive impairment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Although brain fog is non specific term it includes features of confusion, difficulty in remembering facts and lack of proper attention and concentration. This can occur due to depression, dementia, nutritional deficiency among others. Difficulty in recalling names could also be feature of brain fog.

Having said this considering your age and recent onset of symptoms I feel there is definite need for evaluation of cognitive disorders which include dementia. I understand it is difficult to accept but keeping a watchful eye and taking action will definitely help you to avoid further progression.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
