Brief Answer:
If she is having GI symptoms, run further tests...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your mom is in.

Now, can you please specify whether your mom is having other health problems apart the "feeling like her insides are falling out her anal cavity":
- is she having diarrhea? constipation?
- is she have nausea? vomiting?
- does her abdomen hurts when she has a bowel movement? when she peeing?
- any burning during urination? frequent urination?
- is her back hurting also?
- is she having discharge from her vagina?
- itching in vagina/urethra?

If she is having only smelly leaking clear fluid leaking out the rectum, then, I advise to run further investigations to determine the right diagnosis:
- stool culture to exclude pathological bacteria (such as c.diff) and/or candida
- abdominal/transvaginal ultrasound to evaluate her genitalia/and other abdominal organs
- urine analysis to exclude urinary tract infection/other issues
- if she is having vaginal discharge, get her a vaginal swab testing

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.

Meanwhile, I advise to:
- drink plenty of water with ORS (oral rehydration salt)
- have light meals (yogurt, chicken soups, etc.)
- if she is having diarrhea, advise her to take tasectan to stop it
- let her take probiotics to optimize intestinal flora

I am happy that your symptoms are improving while taking Zithromax. You can also follow the advice given to your mother to improve the symptoms.

The way of transmission for C.difficile is through touching objects contaminated with feces containing this bacteria. It rarely involves outpatients, commonly occurring in hospitalized patients.

Wish fast recovery!
