Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
Thanks for writing in to us at hcm.
This is Dr.Riyanka and I am glad to be helping you with your query.
Foul smelling vaginal discharge could indicate either bacterial or fungal infection.
Sometimes it may be accompanied with brownish colour discharge.
I would also like to know if these is any burning micturition and itching sensation and fever?
The medications that can be very useful for this is:
1. Over the counter Topical creams/ suppositories Containing Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. It will act as an antibiotic and antfungal. To be applied thrice daily for 10 days.
2. For bloating sensation - You could also take Tablet omeprazole 20mg atleast half an hour befoe breakfast - daily one tablet for 10 days. It is available over the counter .
If on topical application of the cream/suppositories the foul smell doesnt come down then consult a gynaecologist for oral medications.
Do write back if you have any further doubts.
Get well soon
Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
No burning no itching. Just cramps sometimes and feeling bloated
Very unlikely of it being a cervical cancer, seems like infection

Hi,
Thanks for writing back to us at hcm.
I have read your complaints in details.
Please relax. Reading too much of Internet articles can confuse a person and make them anxious .
Firstly please try out the topical cream. Let us observe the outcome. Most likely it is an infection as this is common in sexually active young females. If you are having similar complaints even after one week of application of the antibacterial and antifungal cream/suppositories then kindly consult a gynaecologist.
They might advise a Abdomen and pelvis ultrasound to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease(infection) . If you are having very severe cramps then kindly consult a gnaecologist at the earliest .
Could you please tell me your last menstrual period date? also have you had unprotected sex after that?
Also a simple test known as 'pap smear' can help exclude doubts of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is doubted as a cause, as it usually leads to post coital bleeding and is more common in perimenopausal and post menopausal women. So please don't worry.
Do write back for any more doubts. Get well soon.
Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
