4)Is there any discharge?if,what type of discharge(clear colorless,or yellowish)?
5)Is there any surrounding edema or redness?
6)Are you a diabetic or any other illness?
7)It will be very useful if you can upload a photo of the wound.

Had gastric band removal doctors thought I had a heart attack after surgery but tests came back inconclusive possibly angina but cannot test until wound healed been cleaning it but now seems infected and smells of fish

fowl smell and discharge from the wound indicate wound infection.
Mild superficial infection usually can be controlled with proper wound care and antibiotic creams alone.Severe or deep infection need oral antibiotics in addition.Usual antibiotics used for post operative wound infection is amoxicillin+clavulonate,metronidazole,cefixime etc,depending on the situation.Your doctor will guide in this.
Meanwhile,keep the wound clean and dry.Apply antibiotic creams like mupirocin or povidone-iodine twice daily.
