Dizziness can occur due to some anxiety.
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You are a 61 years old female and have increased weight. Increased weight is one of important cause of dizziness but that usually occur in very late stages.
Postural hypotension is other reason for dizziness. I would advise you to get your blood pressure checked. Get the BP checked in lying down position and then in standing position and see for difference in BP in both positions. In patients of Postural Hypotension the difference in BP comes out to be more than 20 mm of mercury.
I would also advise you to get your Vitamin B12 levels, haemoglobin and thyroid function tests checked to rule out any other medical cause for such dizziness. Low B12 levels, anaemia and hypothyroidism are medical reasons for persistent dizziness.
What drugs are you taking for weight loss? Some drugs are known to cause dizziness in some individuals so check accordingly. Persistent ENT illness should be ruled out in workup of dizziness.
Other possible reason for persistent dizziness is mild anxiety. In anxiety individual may develop slight restlessness and dizziness. If everything comes normal then in my opinion your dizziness is occurring due to anxiety.
Please visit a doctor for evaluation and help. Don't remain stressed for this dizziness because in most of individuals these symptoms improve with medicines. BETAHISTINE when taken regularly help to reduce the dizziness and should help you. The drug will help to improve the day to day functioning. Please consult a doctor for detailed prescription of the drug.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Please dont hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
Take care
