What Causes Frequent Urination After Unprotected Oral Sex?

I had unprotected oral sex and protected vaginal sex 11 days back.
For past 8 days I am experiencing frequent urination without any burning or rashes/blisters.First day i had some pain in tip of the penis and scrotal itching.
Could this be due to any STI. My urinalysis didnt show anything abnormal. My physician examined me today and he didnt see anything physically wrong in the genital region. He has ordered tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Results would come back in 2 days. Also I am afraid this could be herpes.
Is it too early to be tested for STDs. Could this be due to a penile injury during intercouse ?
Please let me know.
Hi Doctor
I forgot to mention that the urinating frequency is higher during day ( as day progresses) (between 1-2 hours). I think this has improved from this week.
Also I dont have any urge to urinate during nighttime.
Thanks
Penile injury or UTI

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care questions
I see that you had unprotected oral intercourse and then protected vaginal intercourse. Even with oral sex there can be transmission of STDs. The two forms of infection that can be transmitted from oral sex is chlamydia and gonorrhea. From your description these are the possible causes of your recent symptoms. Since you already saw your doctor and they did test for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia I would wait for the results.
The other infectious possibility is Herpes but the time period to contract herpes is too short. The genital type of herpes would not be transmittable through oral sex but the general cold sore type is. If you do not actually see a visible blister then it would be unlikely to be herpes.
You could also have a general urinary tract infection from the oral sex. But this should have been discovered with normal urinalysis. And again since you had a normal UA this is unlikely.
The third possibility is mechanical injury from sex either oral of vaginally. There would be small abrasion of the tip of the penis and may cause continued burning and pain with urination. Only time will allow for complete healing.
In Summary
1. Wait for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia results
2. Unlikely UTI with normal UA results
3. Unlikely Herpes as incubation period too short and no associated blisters
4. Possible trauma from sex will heal with time
I hope this answers your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns or questions
