What Causes Frequent Urination And Itching On Penile Shaft?

Question: Hi I am a 28 year old male, about 160 lbs, 6'1 and overall healthy. I've not no serious medical issues in my past. I had protected sex two weeks ago, recently experienced frequent urination and this morning felt itching on my penile shaft. Some slight discomfort regarding the unrination but not continual and every time i use the toilet, no pussy or mucus discharge, only urine.
Brief Answer:
No possibility of STD/HIV with safe sex
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
There is nothing to worry about STD/HIV as you had protected sex and as long as your protection was intact throughout the act.
Frequency of urination could be due to anxiety, or urinary tract infection other than STD and not related to your risky exposure. An examination of urine in laboratory will confirm or eliminate the possibility of Urinary tract infection.
The discomfort may sometimes relieved by adequate consumption of water.
Consult your physician and he/she will guide you better.
Get well soon.

Thank you,
I am ashamed to admit the protected sex was with a "escort", she said she was clean and the condom stayed on all the time. The itch occurred this morning and the penis head is red. No sores or blisters. Can a itch and redness be signs of herpes?
So ashamed of what I did. I did have a std test and blood work last friday. I am waiting for the results 7-10 business days. I can't wait that long and afraid of positive results.
What can I do?

Brief Answer:
No possibility of STD through protected sex.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
There is nothing to be ashamed off. It was a wiser decision that you did, to have a protected sex.
Itching and redness are not signs of Genital Herpes. Have you had any unprotected oral sex which could cause a redness due to inflammation.
As your sex is a protected one all your Test result will come negative or non-reactive for STDs.
Relax.
