Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

You might be having UTI ( urinary tract infection) as your reports show pus cells.

Also you are having pain while passing urine which is a sign of UTI ( urinary tract infection).

I will advise you to get a urine culture sensitivity and antibiotic sensitivity .

Till that time you can take Tablet Nitrofurantoin ( if you are not pregnant)

Thanks for the reply.

What about positive traces of the blood and higher RBCs and Epithelial cells in the report? Does it indicate anything else apart from UTI?

Note: Patient is female and 27 years old, got married 4 months ago. Any suggestions to be followed for diet and married life?

Diet should be healthy with green vegetables and adequate proteins like meat.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Regarding married life - want pregnancy.

I understand that we need to avoid any intimate relation because of UTI atleast for 10 days after the infection is cured (if we take medicine after consulting doctor physically). Will this be fine?

Yes 10 days will be fine.

For pregnancy,-

She should take table folic acid 1 tablet daily from now itself till 3 months of pregnancy.

Sex should happen unprotected atleast three times a week.

She should not take any drugs like antibiotics which harm pregnancy.

Eating regular healthy diet with green vegetables and adequate proteins like meat is sufficient.
