What Causes Frequent Urination Despite A Negative Urinalysis Report?
Question: I AM A 82 YEAR OLD MALE. AND I HAVE TO GET UP I OR 2 TIMES A NIGHT TO URINE.I JUST HAD MY ANNUAL PHYSICAL AND MY PROSTRATE WAS NORMAL AND MY PSA WAS 0.76 ..MY URINALYSIS REFLEX 1.91...ON URINALYSIS,THERE IS A MODERATE NUMBER OF BOTH WHIRE AND RED BLOOD CELLS CAUSE UNCLEAR. CAN OFTEN BE SEEN WITH INFECTION..DO A REOEAT URINE TEST IN NEXT COUPLE WEEKS.. I DONE THAT YESTERDAY. RESULTS NOT BACK YET. IS FREQUENT URINATING HAVING GO FREQUENT ALL DAY LONG A SYMPTOM? ALSO I DRINK 2 TO FOUR CUPS OF COFFEE IN AM..IS THERE A PILL ACROSS COUNTER FOR TREATMENT OR A PERSCRIPTION.. I TAKE 81 MG ASPERINE EACH DAY ANDCARVEDILOL 25 MG TABLET 2 TIMES DAY AND 1 AMLODIPINE 5 MG IN AM ..THANKS

In absence of positive evidence of enlarged prostate and negative reports of urine test for infection the cause of frequency for urination at the age of 82 years is age related reduced capacity of urinary bladder .
This is not pathognomic but part of ageing process .
Reduce intake of coffee and avoid drinking water 2 hours before going to bed .
You may take tab Flavoxate twice daily .
