Answered by Dr. Kathy Robinson (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
many causes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
There are several causes for frequent urination. The most common causes are infection either in the bladder or urethra or an enlargement of the prostate. It would be good for you to see a doctor as soon as possible to get a urinalysis done to make sure there is no infection. If you are at risk for sexually transmitted infections then you would need testing for that as well. Infections can get worse without treatment so getting that checked is important.
If there are no infections then seeing a urologist to determine if you have prostate enlargement would be the next step. There are medications that can reduce the size of the prostate and relieve this problem if that is what you have.
Please let me know if you have further questions,
