What Causes Gastritis While On Clopilet?

Question: Hi,my mom aged 64 years is a diabetic.she was on ecosprin.now changed to clopilet.she has gastritis.what is best treatment?

Clopitab has better tolerability.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Ecospirin frequently causes severe gastritis as it causes stomach mucosal ulcers.
Clopitab is a better option and has better tolerability.
In such case i would recommend a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone daily empty stomach on regular basis.
For Acute relief she can take On The Counter available Syrups like Digene.
Stick to soft and bland diet.
