What Causes Gradually Enlarging Raised, Pink Lesion On Thigh?
Question: About a month ago I noticed a sm. smooth flat and painless (.5 mm diameter) dark XXXXXXX spot appear on the mid-front surface of my l. thigh; high enough to "where the sun don't shine" ha!! During the course of last month this spot has gradually enlarged (3.0 mm diameter) and lost its original "full moon" disc to resemble a 1/2 moon. Also, gradually, it began to thicken (rise toward the center) and a sm. (now, 1.0 mm diameter) BLACK spot developed in the center. This spot which began as a mere "pin-point" now stands in "bas relief" aprx. (.25 mm high) from the surrounding dark XXXXXXX area. Beginning aprx. 3 days ago, it began to harden as well as produce a constant burning sensation; which is increased by touching. Q: What is this?

Hi, I have provided some attachments. Please review them.
Brief Answer:
Possibility of a Melanoma needs to be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for the Image. I can see well defined raised, pink lesion with color vareigation.
I would like to keep a possibility of a Melanoma and therefore I would like to biopsy it so as confirm the diagnosis and determine its extent.
The fact that it has developed recently, has rapidly since increased in size and has developed color variegation is significant.
The fact that is has also become raised in the center and has become symptomatic suggests that it has a deeper component to it as well and therefore I suggest that you visit a dermatologist as soon as possible for a clinical examination, biopsy and for the needful.
Regards
